Windows, Linux and macOS patch management for MSPs

Does KairosLink reboot computers when installing patches?
No, never automatically. If a patch requires a reboot, the panel says so and the technician decides when, with the option to cancel it. That holds on all three systems.
Does the computer's user see anything during installation?
No. Installation runs silently, with no pop-up windows, so the user's work is not interrupted.
Where do each system's patches come from?
From each one's native source: the Windows Update API on Windows, apt on the Debian family and dnf on the Red Hat family, and system updates through softwareupdate on macOS. What the panel shows is the same as the device's own update screen.
Can I install only some patches?
Yes. The survey lists each pending update separately and the technician picks which ones to install, on any of the three systems.
How do I know which computers in my fleet are most exposed?
The patch view sorts computers by the criticality of their pending updates, with each one's total updates, critical count and reboot requirement, mixing Windows, Linux and macOS in the same queue.
