Windows, Linux and macOS patch management for MSPs
KairosLink surveys each managed computer's pending updates, sorts them by criticality and installs them remotely with real-time progress, patch by patch, on Windows, on Linux and on macOS. The history shows the same as the device's own update screen, and no installation reboots the machine without the technician's explicit authorization.
Each system's native source, not an approximation
Each system is patched through its native source. Windows uses the native Windows Update API: what the MSP sees in the panel is exactly what they would see sitting at the customer's machine. Linux works with apt on the Debian family and with dnf on the Red Hat family, so the technician does not switch tools or criteria depending on the server's distribution. macOS uses system updates through softwareupdate. No incomplete lists, no differences to explain later: the history is grouped by update, with search, to review months of patches in seconds.
Remote installation with real progress
Installation runs silently on the computer, with no windows visible to the user, and reports every stage to the panel: which patch is installing, which finished and with what result. The technician sees a real progress bar, not a generic "installing...". If a patch requires a reboot, the panel says so and the reboot stays in the technician's hands, who can schedule or cancel it. Approval, scheduling and reporting are the same on all three systems.
The whole fleet, sorted by risk
The overview shows computers sorted by the criticality of their pending patches, with Windows, Linux and macOS on the same screen: how many updates are missing, how many are critical and which computers need a reboot. With that, the monthly patching round stops being a manual list and becomes a prioritized work queue.
